Skipping spending money at the natural food store.
A friend of mine highly recommends wellness elixirs. Once a week, she grabs one to three bottles of a turmeric concoction from our nearby health-conscious spot. While judging solely by the expression she wears post-consumption, I might have doubts, but often the most beneficial things for our bodies have a slightly unconventional taste. Bearing that in mind, here are some simple homemade juice shots you can whip up!
In search of fiber and antioxidants with an anti-inflammatory boost? Give a lemon, ginger, and cucumber shot a shot. Blend 1 teaspoon of finely chopped ginger, the juice of 1 lemon, and 1 small cucumber (skin on) in a blender on high for a minute.
If you’re in need of a pick-me-up rich in vitamins A and C, consider a blend of beet and carrot. Blend 1 small beet (washed and peeled), 3 beet greens, and a small unpeeled carrot in a blender on high for a minute, adding a quarter cup of water.
For a potent dose of antioxidants, an apple and turmeric shot is the way to go. All you need is 1 medium-sized apple and a teaspoon of minced turmeric. Blend thoroughly on high for a minute.
