    It might surprise you, but prior to pursuing acting, Parker was actively involved in dancing and performing on Broadway.
    She graced Broadway with spectacular performances in The Innocents (1976) and later in The Sound of Music for an extended period. Her breakthrough on Broadway arrived when she landed a lead role in Annie from 1979-1980.

    Parker also trained in dance at the American Ballet Theater and began to garner national recognition in the 80s. She made her mark in the 1985 film “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” dedicated to dancing and the aerobics trend of the 80s.

    While she enjoys taking leisurely walks, Parker stays fit by engaging in pilates and favors swimming over running. Her preferred way to unwind and destress is by immersing herself in a good book.

    In her dietary choices, she takes pleasure in indulging with Coca-Cola as her preferred beverage, savoring her sister’s delectable chocolate brownies as her top dessert choice, and favoring milk chocolate over its darker counterpart. Parker’s go-to dish is roasted chicken adorned with parsley, and she adores pizza topped with sausage, peppers, and onions.
