It could end up like The Shining if you don’t manage it properly.
Well, we find ourselves confined to our homes until the pandemic situation improves. Fortunately, many companies are embracing remote work, providing both a source of income and a way to stay occupied. However, despite the appeal of working from home, it can become challenging when prolonged. The lack of social engagements may lead to laziness and unhealthy eating habits. It’s essential to take a proactive approach towards maintaining your well-being.
First and foremost, avoid spending the entire day in pajamas. While loungewear is undoubtedly comfy, remaining in them all day may negatively impact your motivation. You don’t need to dress formally, just put on some casual attire. Dressing as if you were going out can boost your motivation levels, and once your workday is over, you can switch back to your comfy loungewear.
Secondly, prioritize stretching. Incorporate it into your daily routine. When you’re at the office, even if mostly at your desk, you move around for short activities. Even while stuck at home, make an effort to move around frequently. Don’t remain seated in one position for too long, or your muscles will stiffen.
Lastly, don’t forget to eat. Establish specific times for snacks and meals (this will also break your desk-bound routine), and ensure you have a supply of water nearby. Avoid mindless snacking out of boredom; instead, wait until you’re genuinely hungry and opt for nutritious food choices.
