For many years, I had been striving to experience a day free from discomfort in my physical well-being. Indeed, I was reliant on various medications for multiple health conditions, from thyroid issues to arthritis concerns. Feeling exasperated, I consulted a physician who, after conducting a series of blood tests, informed me that my RA factor was negative. This meant no rheumatoid arthritis medications for me, despite exhibiting all the clinical symptoms. It boiled down to one crucial aspect – how to adopt a well-balanced regimen for shedding weight.

According to the doctor, the key to maintaining good health lies in balance. Even a modest effort to rectify imbalances in life can potentially prevent major health issues. Since metabolism plays a crucial role in overall well-being, the type of food we consume daily plays a pivotal role in sustaining the body’s equilibrium. Following our conversation, I comprehended that by focusing on the body’s pH levels, we could attain lasting and effective weight loss objectives.

An effective strategy to structure a well-balanced regimen for weight management is by adhering to an Alkaline dietary plan. A balanced blood pH is essential for weight loss.   • Green leafy vegetables, rich in vitamin A, B, E, folic acid, minerals, calcium, and iron, are alkalizing foods that support immunity and overall health.
  • Snacking on a handful of nuts is advisable, as they are abundant in beneficial fats and have an alkalizing effect on the body. Almonds, walnuts, and cashews stabilize blood sugar levels, enhance heart health, and aid in weight management through their nutritional profile of antioxidants, fats, and proteins.

A Balanced Indian Diet Schedule for Weight Management

  • Commence your day with a glass of lukewarm water infused with lemon juice.
  • For breakfast, consider a cup of vegetable juice paired with one bowl of Quinoa/sprouted dalia.
  • Enjoy a serving of fruits mentioned earlier or a glass of coconut water.
  • At lunch, relish a bowl of Tomato cucumber salad, accompanied by oats or mixed grain roti with a vegetable from the earlier list.
  • Dinner may consist of a green salad, beetroot chapati, and spinach broccoli stew.

Additionally, incorporating sweet lime and oranges, rich in vitamin C, aids in detoxifying the body. While adopting an 80% alkaline and 20% acidic diet is commendable, individual bodies vary. Hence, before blindly adopting any dietary regimen, practicing mindful eating is essential. Hydration, restriction of sugar, limited consumption of meat, processed foods, and alcohol are fundamental keys to embracing a healthy life devoid of illnesses.
